The cost to renew your license is $160. During the two-year period between renewals, you must complete five credits of continuing education through a Board-approved course. New Jersey HVAC licenses expire on June 30 of every even-numbered year. Licensees will be reminded to renew approximately 60 days before the expiration date.

Yes, you can choose to attend via webinar (on Zoom) or in-person at our Headquarters, where we provide hands-on learning in our HVAC Workshop. Both options provide direct access to our experienced instructors.

The Training Center handles all compliance-related processes after course completion, ensuring your records are updated and reported to the necessary authorities.

To keep your HVACR license valid, you need to complete 5 Board-approved training hours every 2 years. The Training Center is fully approved to provide these continuing education hours.

To get your New Jersey HVAC license, you must fulfill the work experience and educational requirements. When applying, you must provide documentation to show that you meet one of the following standards for licensure:
Four years in a U.S. Department of Labor-approved HVACR apprenticeship program and one year of work experience
A four-year bachelor’s degree in HVACR and one year of hands-on HVACR work experience
A four-year bachelor’s degree in a related field and three years of hands-on HVACR work experience
A two-year degree from a trade school, technical school or community college, two years of a U.S. Department of Labor-approved HVACR apprenticeship program, and one year of hands-on HVACR work experience
The State Board of Examiners of HVACR Contractors meets once a month to review license applications. If the Board approves your application, you’ll receive a letter as soon as possible after the meeting. This letter will include information on how to schedule your licensing exam.

The 5-hour curriculum is updated based on board requirements and essentially focuses on subject areas most important to industry code and safety. For example, the International Mechanical Code, Manual J load calc changes, flammable refrigerant safety, and Flue Pipe System 1738 installation. A 25-question quiz ensures your competency in these areas.

Yes, upon passing the course, you will receive an official certificate of completion, ensuring full compliance with HVACR board recertification requirements.

Yes, this course is officially approved by the New Jersey HVACR board for Master HVACR license holders, ensuring that it meets all the necessary standards for license renewal. The certificate will state your license number and the sponsor number for record keeping purposes.

The course costs $200, offering excellent value for 5 hours of continued education that covers essential updates and industry standards. This includes all administrative support and post-course completion documentation.

Yes, whether you attend online or in person, you'll have access to all course recordings and supplementary materials 24/7 through our LMS platform. The content will be accessible as a reference indefinitely and new updates and new materials will be available in future recertification courses.

We offer unlimited practice exams and additional support to ensure your success. If you don't pass the quiz on the first try, you'll have the opportunity to retake it.
