High Pressure “Special” Operator

White Seal High-Pressure "Special" Operator Overview

A High-Pressure special license is required for boilers over 6 hp & up to 100 hp. The boilers have to have a pressure greater than 15 PSI to classify as high-pressure. This seal is sometimes referred to as the white seal or high-pressure special.

Experience

90 days experience in a place that has a boiler that is over 6 hp but not greater than 100 hp. Most people who sign-up for this particular program are owners of dry cleaning stores or operate boilers such as Fulton, Clayton, or other steam generators. Equipment is sometimes connected to autoclaves or devices that need steam rapidly.

Endorsements

Provide an endorsement from a manager from your place of employment for your application. Provide our school with NJ state inspection certificates. These certificates can be found hanging in your boiler room framed behind glass. They contain all the information that we need to properly fill out your application.

The Test

Your test consists of a 50-question multiple-choice test and the passing score is 60%.
